VEDRAN Corluka's proposed move to Tottenham could be back on after it emerged that Manchester City were in the market for Espanyol right-back Pablo Zabaleta.
Spurs were on the brink of landing the versatile Croatian defender earlier in the summer but the deal fell through and Corluka remained at City.
Eastlands boss Mark Hughes is understood to be tracking Zabaleta, who would cost around £5million, and if a deal is tied up, it could resurrect Tottenham's chances of signing Corluka.
Juande Ramos is known to be on the lookout for defensive reinforcements although time is fast running out, as the transfer window will slam shut on Monday.
Corluka, along with Tottenham midfielder Luka Modric, has been named in Croatia boss Slaven Bilic's squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers, which includes a match against England on September 10.
